Suzanne, a graduate of Ohio State University with a Masters in Nursing, is a retired nurse educator. She moved to Savannah four years ago from Athens, Ohio where she lived for 31 years. She began painting in acrylic while her husband, Hank ,was a resident in Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University. Finding time to raise two children and teach nursing put painting on hold for many years.
She has studied drawing and painting with artists in Columbus and Athens, Ohio, St. Petersburg, Florida and Savannah. She finds that although it is difficult to capture the beauty of God's creation, it is challenging to make the attempt. Watercolor is her present media of interest. Suzanne won the Hester and Zipperer Floral award at a Landings Art Association Spring Show. She has served on the Art Association Board as membership chair and program chair.
